 Blueprint Reading for Machinists

The ability to read and understand blueprints is a fundamental job skill for many positions including machinists, quality technicians, procurement and sales professionals. This course is designed to provide these basic skills.

Course outline:
• Introduction to print reading including kinds of lines and types of scale
• Getting to the details: including dimensions, tolerances, surface texture
and threads
• Fundamentals of shape & description including geometric construction,
multi-view, auxiliary views, section views, threads and fasteners
• Fundamentals of size & description plus title block information including:
dimensioning and tolerancing, machining specifications, list of materials,
drawing notes, drawing revision systems

Who should attend?
Engineers, machinists, inspectors, tool makers, operators, quality professionals, and all
those needing to understand engineering drawings fundamentals.
