In observance of its 20th anniversary, the Salem Community Foundation Tuition Grant Program is now available to Kent State Salem students living within the Salem City, West Branch, South Range, United and Leetonia Village school districts.

Additionally, the maximum award is up to 20 percent of in-state tuition costs for classes at Kent State Salem. This amount is an increase from the previous 15 percent maximum grant.  Each applicant must be a permanent resident of an applicable school district for at least one year; be pursuing an associate or a first bachelor degree; and attend Kent State Salem. This program is for the fall and spring semesters only. Scholarships are available for students in all programs.

There is no minimum GPA requirement for new freshmen students, but current Kent State Salem students and transfer students must have a 2.00 cumulative GPA. Early admission students are not eligible for this grant.

The deadline to apply for the SCF Tuition Grant Program is Friday, August 31, 2018.

The application may be downloaded from the Kent State Salem Campus website: https://www.kent.edu/columbiana/scholarship-opportunities-salem.
