CTM Makes Amazon Shipping Labels Stick

CTM Labeling Systems is located at 1318 Quaker Circle in Phase 1 of the Salem Industrial park. CTM is a manufacturer of packaging and labeling automation used in many industries. Equipment manufactured by CTM can be found in automotive, pharmaceutical, food processing/packaging, health and beauty, and e-Commerce environments to mention a few. Locally, CTM labeling equipment is being used by our good friends at Redex Industries Inc., Milsek Furniture Polish Inc. and Fresh Mark.

Also impacting many families in Salem is the CTM connection to Amazon. When that next package from Amazon shows up on your doorstep, take a minute to examine the 4” x 6” shipping label on the outside. CTM manufactures the printer applicators that print the data then apply these labels to every package leaving Amazon fulfillment centers, right here in Salem, Ohio! In fact, Amazon’s Marketing team was here recently to highlight CTM and the local community supporting the company. Click on the following link to watch the video:

CTM Labeling Systems was founded in 1993 by Tom Rumsey and Dan McLaughlin. The impetus for this venture stemmed from Rumsey and McLaughlin’s experience working at MPI Label Systems located in Sebring, Ohio. MPI converts and prints rolls of pressure sensitive “sticky” labels. Rumsey and McLaughlin recognized a growing demand for automation to dispense and apply these labels and a lack of “reliable” labeling equipment manufacturers available at the time. Acting on this opportunity with a shared vision, hard work and determination they started what has grown into one of the leading labeling equipment manufacturers in the United States located right here in Salem, Ohio.

Why Salem?

In 1993 when searching for a start, several communities were considered for a place to call home. The deciding factor to locate in Salem was cemented by former Mayor Al Mondell. Al was the first point of contact and his passion for the Salem community, personal tour of the Industrial Park and willingness to go the extra mile connecting the dots, made the decision to call Salem home an easy first choice! CTM moved to the Salem Industrial Park in 1996, expanded the facility in 2000 and is currently planning an expansion for 2019. Starting with four employees, CTM has grown to employ 80+ highly skilled, customer centric, committed employees located in Salem and Twinsburg facilities.
